Quick & Easy Rice Bowl

This is a recipe you’ll want to keep in your back pocket. It’s the perfect meal when you’re tired and short on time and hungry family members besiege you with the age-old question, “What’s for dinner?”


Bowl dinners are always filling and delicious, and this one is no different. It’s packed with creamy avocado, umami-rich tomatoes, salty tamari and crunchy sesame seeds. We dialed up the easiness factor by using ready-to-heat brown rice so you can keep your kitchen time to a minimum.

Ingredients

  • 1
    7- to 8-ounce pouch (approximately 1 1/2 cups) organic ready-to-heat brown rice or whole grains
  • 2
    teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3
    cup sliced avocado
  • 1/2
    cup diced tomato
  • 1/4
    teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2
    teaspoons tamari or soy sauce
  • 1
    teaspoons sesame seeds

Directions

    Heat rice according to package instructions and divide between two bowls.

    Divide all remaining ingredients between the bowls and enjoy!
