Meet Joe Mosansky — Meat & Seafood Assistant Manager

What does your role entail?
First and foremost, my role entails fulfilling L&B’s values and standards of first-rate customer service. This is reached by making sure that every customer interaction is personal, and that the customer is satisfied with their service and selection. After that, my responsibilities of managing the department involve ensuring that the product is fresh, the selection is wide-ranging, and the inventory is consistent. And finally, to suggest those same standards to those on my team. 

How long have you been with the company?
I have been with L&B for a little over two years. 

What do you love most about your job?
What I love most is creating a “sensational shopping experience” for our customers.

Have you used any of the training, development or benefits options from L&B?
Yes. I completed the Meat & Seafood Culinary Professionals Program in 2023. In addition, I am a 2024 Leadership Readiness Program graduate.

What or who inspired you to pursue the career you have?
I began working at a family-owned grocery store as a part-time stocker while attending college. My experience and knowledge over time continued to grow until I reached the position of Assistant Store Manager. I found my career both challenging and rewarding and wished to transition to a larger company. 

Which accomplishments are you most proud of during your time at L&B?
I am most proud of being able to pass on the knowledge and experience that I have gained since joining L&B to the 2024 cohort Culinary Professionals. In addition, I am happy with my rapid rate of personal growth within the company thanks to a supportive group of leaders.

What is your favorite part about working at L&B?
My favorite part is the friendly staff, and the supportive management team.

What is your favorite L&B product? And why?
My favorite product is the L&B Fresh All-Natural Pork & Wagyu Beef Premium Brats. The Wagyu beef has extraordinary marbling, so its tenderness is unmatched, as well as its buttery flavor.
