Meet the Expert: Agri Beef

The cattle company Agri Beef is “all about authenticity and transparency,” says Agri Beef marketing manager Liz Moore — which is part of what appealed to Tres Lund when he was looking for a beef program for Lunds & Byerlys in 2009. When people visit the company’s Double R Ranch® in Loomis, Washington, like Tres did, “we’ll show you the operations from ranch-to-table,” adds Moore. “We’ll let you get your boots dirty and answer all your questions. For us, it’s just like having family over.”

Like Lunds & Byerlys, Agri Beef is family-owned, and the companies share similar values, including an emphasis on quality and innovation. “Our shared values have allowed Agri Beef and Lunds & Byerlys to do some really cool things over the years with product innovation, like the Reserve Aged Beef program,” says Moore. To create our L&B  Reserve Aged Beef®, beef from Double R Ranch® is aged using a proprietary process developed by Michael Selby, Director of Product Innovation at Lunds & Byerlys, to achieve an incredible depth of flavor, while providing a tenderness that is unmatched.

“We take pride in the quality of the products we produce and the long-standing relationships we’ve developed with our customers and our ranching partners,” Moore says. “We’re going on 13 years with Lunds & Byerlys, and they are still one of our best partners.”

In addition to being able to count on the highest standards of animal welfare, customers who choose Double R Ranch® products, including L&B Reserved Aged Beef®, are supporting something even broader. They’re helping sustain rural communities and supporting the real people and real families whose livelihood is to produce this quality product. Says Moore: “Our customers are keeping that cowboy culture alive.”
