Palisade Peach Bourbon BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6-8
    Palisade peaches, chopped
  • 1
    (18-oz.) bottle Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/2
    cup packed brown sugar
  • 1
    small Vidalia onion, chopped
  • 1-3
    jalapeƱos, deseeded and finely chopped (optional)
  • 1
    cup bourbon or whiskey of your choice

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a heavy-duty saucepan and mix until combined. Simmer on low to medium-low heat for at least 30 minutes until sauce is sticky and thick.

Perfect to smother on salmon, chicken, pork or smoked baby back ribs!


Tip: If peaches are out of season, you can replace the fresh peaches with peach preserves or jam.
