How to Seed a Pomegranate

How many times have you tried to remove the juicy seeds from a pomegranate – only to have a big, red mess on your hands? (Literally!)

Use this simple technique for perfect pomegranate seeds every time, with no fuss and no mess:

Ingredients

  • 1
    pomegranate

Directions

  1. 1

Roll the fruit lightly to loosen seeds.

  2. 2

Score around the skin, being careful not to cut into the fruit inside.

  3. 3

    Split in half.

  4. 4

With seeds facing down, hold each half over a large bowl and hit the skin with the back of a spoon to release the seeds.

Use in salads, drinks or eat plain as a healthy snack!
